Sturton by Stow and Stow Neighbourhood Plan

Following a successful examination and referendum, Sturton by Stow and Stow Neighbourhood Plan was formally adopted by West Lindsey District Council at its Full Council committee meeting on the 4 July 2022.

The Plan now forms part of the development plan and should be given full weight in helping determine future planning applications within the Plan area. Planning law requires that applications for planning permission be determined in accordance with the development plan, unless material considerations indicate otherwise.

A review of the existing Sturton by Stow and Stow Neighbourhood Plan is currently being prepared jointly by the Sturton and Stow and Stow Parish Councils.

Sturton by Stow and Stow and Stow parish councils wish to make some modifications to their made (adopted) joint neighbourhood plan.

In May 2024, they submitted their draft modifications to the council for consideration and agreement. Relevant draft documents can be viewed on the parish council's websites:

The modifications are intended to be minor (non-material) ones only which would not materially affect the policies in the plan. They include correcting errors and updating references to supporting documents.

If agreed by the council, it will issue a decision letter and will publish the updated plan with its minor modifications, As this would not result in the remaking of the plan, the made date of the original plan would still apply.
