Waste service - 19 July 2022

Due to the extreme temperatures our waste crews are finishing early today (19 July 2022).

We have taken this decision as we do not think it is safe for them to continue working in this heat. Whilst all our lorries are fitted with air conditioning and have fridges installed, they are still working outside in the heat for long periods of time.

Any bins that did not get collected today that usually would, we will hopefully collect them tomorrow. We will have extra crews out this week to help keep up the demand, however please be patient with our team and crew. If your bin hasn’t been collected today, please present it again before 7am tomorrow, or leave out of it is safe to do so. A full list of areas we haven’t collected is shown below.
