Keelby Neighbourhood Plan

Keelby Neighbourhood Plan has reached referendum stage. The examination of the plan was carried out by an independent examiner in early 2023. Subject to a series of recommended modifications set out in their report (see Examiner's Report in the documents section) the examiner concluded that the examination of the Keelby Neighbourhood Plan had been successful and the plan should proceed to referendum.

Keelby Parish Council and West Lindsey District Council have agreed that the examiner’s recommended modifications be accepted and included in the Neighbourhood Plan in order for it to proceed to public referendum. The referendum is to be held in the parish of Keelby on 20 July 2023.

The final referendum version of the plan incorporating the examiner’s modifications is available in documents section.

National planning guidance advises that where a decision statement (see the documents section) has been made detailing the intention to send a neighbourhood plan to referendum, such as for the Keelby Neighbourhood Plan, that plan can be given significant weight in planning decision-making, so far as the plan is material to the application.

Details about the referendum are available on our By-elections and referendums page.
