The following information provides details on how we may collect use and where appropriate share personal information in relation to the Townscape Heritage Initiative in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Why we collect your information
West Lindsey District Council will collect your personal information for the purposes of delivering the Living Over the Shop scheme in Gainsborough which is funded by the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership. We are allowed to do this because we are carrying out a task which is in the public interest and to enter into a contract should you be successful with the grant funding.
What information do you collect about me?
We will collect, store and use the following categories of personal information about you.
- Your name
- Contact details such as address, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses
- Name and detail of the business (if applicable)
- Details of your agent, including contact details such as address, email, business, telephone number
- Details of your application and other proposals for your building
- Your interest in the property
- Mortgage details
- Other grants received
- Personal and professional opinions
- Payment details
Will you collect more sensitive personal information about me?
We do not collect special category information as defined by the GDPR or any other information categorised as sensitive for the purposes of administering the Living Over the Shop grant.
How will you collect personal information about me?
We collect personal information by letter, e-mail, telephone, online and through face to face contact with yourself, or on occasion an agreed representative of you appointed by yourself. For the Living Over the Shop grant information is collated through an application form.
How will the Council use the information it collects about me?
We will use your information to:
- Assess the application
- Communicate with you
- Enter into contract
- Take payment details
What are the implications of me not providing my data?
Unfortunately if you do not provide the information as described above we will be unable to contact you and offer you advice and guidance regarding the grant and you will be unable to receive grant funding.
Will you share my personal information with third parties?
We will share your information with other third party organisations in order to manage the grant, including the funders of the grant. These are:
- Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership
- Lincolnshire County Council

How long will you keep my data?
We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Your rights in connection with personal information
Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to:
- Have inaccurate or incomplete data we hold about you corrected

- Request access to your personal information
