COVID-19 testing centres opening times over the festive period

Over the festive season, there are a number of small changes to the usual availability of resources to help tackle COVID-19 – please keep following the guidance, getting tested and coming forward for vaccinations over the holidays.

Testing Sites:

COVID-19 testing sites – including the Gainsborough site on Ropery Road – will be open from 10am-2pm on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

The testing sites will remain open from 8am-6pm on every other day over the festive period.

Please book a PCR test if you come down with COVID-19 symptoms, test positive on a Lateral Flow Test, or are alerted to being a close contact of a positive case.

Vaccination centres:

With the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day – Lincolnshire will have a number of vaccination centres open over the festive break for first, second and booster jabs.

Lateral Flow Testing kits:

LFT kits can be collected via local pharmacies by booking a kit collection

Some pharmacies may be closed over Christmas and New Year – please check for the nearest open pharmacy when booking. Alternatively, check the Government website for the availability of home delivery kits.

Medical care:

If you need medical help over the festive period, and it is not an emergency, contact your GP practice. You may be directed to call 111 if you have COVID-19 symptoms.

Contact your dentist if you need emergency dental care or if you don’t have a dentist, or are unable to call, visit NHS 111 online.
