Local Plan Consultation
The Local Plan Review is proposed to replace the Local Plan adopted in 2017. It addresses a range of issues such as climate change, housing, employment, shopping and more.
The review began with an Issues and Options consultation undertaken in June and July 2019 followed by a Draft Local Plan consultation undertaken between 30 June and 24 August 2021.

The aim of the Local Plan is to prepare plans and policies that help create places that are sustainable and attractive to live in. The Local Plan should work together with other plans and policies, such as economic, housing and environmental strategies.
The delivery of new homes and jobs for Central Lincolnshire up to 2036 is provided for through a single Local Plan; replacing previous Local Plans for the City of Lincoln, West Lindsey District Council, and North Kesteven District Council.
The Central Lincolnshire Local Plan team comprises of officers who were drawn from existing planning policy teams within City of Lincoln Council, North Kesteven District Council and West Lindsey District Council. This team was first established in May 2010 and works closely with other officers across the partner authorities in the preparation of planning policy work.
Adopted Central Lincolnshire Local Plan
The Central Lincolnshire Local Plan 2012-2036 was adopted by the Central Lincolnshire Joint Strategic Planning Committee (CLJSPC) on 24 April 2017 and it now replaces the Local Plans of the City of Lincoln, West Lindsey and North Kesteven District Councils.
The adopted Central Lincolnshire Local Plan, Policies Map, Inset Maps, Sustainability Appraisal, Habitats Regulation Assessment and all associated documents are available to view and download on the Central Lincolnshire Local Plan website.
