Image Groundbreaking ceremony for new state of the art cinema marks milestone in town centre regeneration A special ground breaking ceremony in Gainsborough marked the start of construction work on the eagerly anticipated £9m Savoy Cinema. West Lindsey District Council and Savoy Cinema announced that local construction company the Gelder Group have secured the contract to build the state-of-the-art complex in the Market Place. Image Business grants launched in West Lindsey During 2022, the Council developed and submitted its’ UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF) Investment Plan. The Investment Plan made provision for the West Lindsey Business Grant Programme which comprises of three main schemes, including capital and revenue grant provision to support business sustainability (under UK Shared Prosperity Fund), capital grants for non-agricultural farm diversification and capital and revenue grants for agri-tech business development (under Rural England Prosperity Fund and WLDC local funding). Image Investment in communities and businesses confirmed for West Lindsey! This week the Government have supported plans by West Lindsey District Council to invest £2.7m of UKSPF into businesses and communities across the area. Much of this funding will be available to communities and businesses through two flagship grant schemes and the Council are working with the Government to launch the schemes by April 2023.
