West Lindsey District Council appointed an independent examiner to review whether the Great Limber Neighbourhood Plan met the basic conditions required by legislation and whether the plan should proceed to referendum. The examiner’s report of March 2018 concluded that the plan met the requirements and that subject to the modifications proposed in the report the plan should proceed to a referendum.
The Great Limber Neighbourhood Plan referendum was held on 24 May 2018 and the majority of those who voted were in favour of the plan. Legislation requires that the council must make the neighbourhood plan if more than half of those voting have voted in favour of the plan. The council intends to make the plan at its full council meeting on 2 July 2018.
