The Small Community Grant aims to help deliver positive volunteer action. Many community organisations have dedicated and skilled volunteers but sometimes need a small bit of money to deliver a project.
This scheme can cover everyday project costs but also costs associated with training, developing and supporting volunteers to continue providing a great service to our communities.
We have a short application form and monthly panels to ensure you get a quick decision and to get funding to successful project promptly. This scheme is administered on behalf of the council by Community Lincs.
Deadlines for this scheme
This scheme is open to applications at any time. Applications will be submitted to the next available review panel. There are monthly review panels throughout the year. The scheme will run until March 2018 but may close earlier if funds are all awarded.
The deadline is the last Friday in each month for the application to be reviewed in the following month.
No monthly panel will take place in December. Applications submitted after 30th November will be reviewed in January the following year.
How much can we apply for?
The maximum grant available is £500
The minimum grant available is £50
What match funding is required?
We will only fund up to 80% of the total project costs.
Here is a funding example:
“On a project costing £500 in total you can apply for up to 80% of this cost which would be £400”
Who can apply to this scheme?
The following types of organisations are eligible to apply:
- Town Councils
- Parish Council
- Social Enterprises
- Community Groups
- Registered Charities
- Voluntary Sector Organisations
- Community Interest Companies
- Companies Limited by Guarantee
- Faith or Religious organisations*
- Schools or Academies*
* As long as the project is for wider community benefit
Who cannot apply to this scheme?
The following types of organisations are currently not eligible to apply:
- Profit-making organisations
- Informal groups or individuals
- Organisations delivering projects outside of West Lindsey
- Sole use facilities which are not open/accessible to the whole community
