Access to Transport Fund

The Access to Transport Fund will provide funding to deliver local projects that improve awareness or access to public transport. The aim of the fund is to enable small to medium sized projects to be delivered at a local level. Local community led projects will help increase and maintain access to transport. The fund will empower local communities to develop enhancements and solutions.

Deadlines for this scheme

This scheme is open to applications at any time. The fund will run until February 2020 but may close earlier if all funds are awarded.

How much can we apply for?

Our total fund budget is £100,000. We have not set a maximum grant amount as we will review each application based on its impact and intended outcomes.

We expect the majority of projects will be:

  • A maximum grant of £8,000
  • A minimum grant of £500

What match funding is required?

Our approach to community funding is to seek the best possible match funding. This could be from another grant provider, local fundraising, organisational funds or in-kind support.

We have not set a minimum match funding level for this scheme. We would expect you to demonstrate the community benefits and why match funding is not available if you apply for 100% of any project costs.

Who can apply to this scheme?

The following types of organisations are eligible to apply:

  • Town Councils
  • Parish Councils
  • Social Enterprises
  • Community Groups
  • Registered Charities
  • Schools or Academies*
  • Faith or Belief groups/organisation*
  • Local Authorities & Public Sector

*As long as the project is for wider community benefit

Who cannot apply to this scheme?

The following types of organisations are currently not eligible to apply:

  • Profit-making organisations
  • Informal groups or individuals
  • Organisations delivering projects outside of West Lindsey
  • Sole use facilities or locations which are not open/accessible to the whole community

To apply to this scheme please download and complete the Application Form available to download on this page. This will give us some initial information about your project.

We will then contact you to discuss next steps which may include any of the following:

  • Arrange to meet with you and discuss the project
  • Request further information to enable us to make a decision
  • Make a conditional offer of funding
