The Environmental Protection Section at West Lindsey is responsible for permitting and inspecting all A2 and Part B processes within the district.
These are operations that have the potential to cause air pollution, and include activities, such as, vehicle re-spraying, and unloading of petrol etc. Any person operating a process that requires a permit must submit an application, with a fee, to the local authority. The authority must then issue a permit in accordance with Government guidance. The operator of the prescribed process must comply with the conditions of the permit, and they will be subject to inspection to ensure this is the case.
As of today’s date, West Lindsey District Council has not carried out any legal enforcement (by way of service of enforcement notices) or prosecutions at any of these processes.

Charging for Environmental Information Regulation requests
Under The Environmental Information Regulations 2004, Part 2 Regulation 8(1) for certain requests we are allowed to request that a minimum charge of £72.00* is paid for providing the information requested. Advance payment is required and the information will be provided no later than 20 days after payment.
*Charge amount valid from 01/04/2018 until 31/03/2019
Each request will be assessed to see if the information requested reaches the chargeable threshold which will be based upon the time taken to locate, retrieve, extract and summarise the information required. This charge also covers any disbursement costs.
If after 60 days no payment is received the request will closed.
