Play Parks and Green Spaces – COVID-19

Guidance has been provided by the UK Government for parish and town councils on how to safely open and maintain play parks and green spaces during the coronavirus pandemic.

For the latest advice on play parks visit: COVID-19: Guidance for managing playgrounds and outdoor gyms on the GOV.UK website.

We have produced a "Green Space Social Distancing" poster which you can use on green spaces and play parks you maintain. There are 3 versions available to download so you can have a standard layout or add your name or logo to it.

Community Grants

We provide community grant schemes which Parish and Town Councils are eligible to apply to. We also provide details about other grant funding schemes and support the Lincolnshire Funding Portal, a free online search tool.

More information can be found on our funding webpages.

Community Defibrillators

Our Community Defibrillator Service provides new installations and on-going maintenance. Parish and Town Councils are eligible to apply for new defibrillators and join our maintenance service.

More information can be found on our community defibrillator scheme webpage.

Community Rights (including Assets of Community Value)

As part of the Localism Act 2011 we manage Community Rights including processing nominations to list buildings/land as assets of community value. Parish and Town Councils are eligible to submit nominations for buildings/land in their area.

More information can be found on our community rights webpages.

Parish Lighting

We maintain over 1,000 street lights across the district mostly located on footpaths, parks and car parks. These are maintained for us by Lincolnshire County Council. We can consider new lighting requests from Parish and Town Councils subject to funding being identified.

More information can be found on our street lighting webpage.

CCTV

We provide monitored public space CCTV in Gainsborough, Market Rasen, Caistor and Hemswell Cliff. As part of our service we can provide advice to Parish and Town Councils on CCTV.

More information can be found on our CCTV webpage.

Litter Picking Support

We provide access to litter picking equipment for volunteers and groups to use. We can also make arrangements to collect and dispose of waste collected during litter picks.
