Winner - Nettleham Festive Market

Nettleham Festive Market was set up to bring the community together. It was designed to bring some festive cheer to those that can't make it to the bigger Christmas events.It also helps support and promote local businesses whilst raising money for local charities. They have worked so hard to make it a special event for the whole community ensuring there is something suitable for all ages.

The committee work hard, giving up a lot of their free time, to ensure everything is planned well but also share their knowledge with other groups, helping and aspiring them. They also make sure the community get involved as much as possible to make sure they get what they want.

They do a fanatic job and, although at times it can be very stressful, all the blood, sweat and tears are worth it.

Runner Up - Gainsborough St John Ambulance

St John Ambulance has been providing relief of sickness and the protection and preservation of public health through first aid, transport and care. Its mission is to provide first aid and medical support services; caring services in support of community needs; and education, training and personal development to young people.

Gainsborough branch continually provide cover for local events, from markets to the Lincolnshire Show and they have provided first aid training to the younger generation free of charge.

In Gainsborough the St Johns Ambulance have been providing a service since 1877.

Runner Up - Stonecliff Park Social Club

Stonecliff Park Social Club in Welton is a busy hive of activities supporting local residents alike with varied activities such as charity fund raising, opportunities for local crafters, keep fit classes, murder mystery evenings, parties and outings.

The residents are largely elderly and some have relocated to the area so the friendly and welcoming atmosphere helps them settle in. The committee are all volunteers and the residents are grateful for their unsung hard work and dedication.

The club provide activities which reduce social isolation and ensures local access for those who may be less mobile and members of the committee go above and beyond for individual residents.
