West Lindsey District Council is excited to host the West Lindsey Community Awards 2020.
If you know someone who goes out of their way to help others, then don’t let their hard work go unnoticed – nominate them for an award.
Community organisations and individual volunteers make a huge contribution to lives across the district, which is why the council is keen to recognise them at its 2020 Community Awards.
Chairman of the Council and Community Awards panel member, Councillor Steve England said: “I am thrilled to be championing our seventh annual community awards. I have met so many wonderful people in our district who truly care about the people in their communities and willing give up their free time to help out. These volunteers don’t seek recognition but we can spread a little joy as a way of thanking people through our community awards.
“Whether it is befriending a lonely neighbour to running community groups, or from providing an art class for the elderly to health walks around the village.
“A lot of the time the work goes unnoticed but the contribution is valued and this is an opportunity for us to celebrate their achievements.”
The award categories for 2020 are:
- Contribution to the Environment
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Contribution to Sports

The deadline for nominations is 4.30pm on Friday 6 March 2020.
