Working for us

In choosing to work for West Lindsey District Council you will join an organisation striving to provide employees with a positive employment experience.

Our vision and values were reviewed by the council in 2018 and staff from across the whole council and members were involved in shaping them.

Our vision is:

“West Lindsey is a great place to be, where people, businesses and communities can thrive and realise their potential”

Our values are:

  • Customers First
  • One council
  • Business smart
  • Communicate effectively
  • Integrity in everything

We have a new Behavioural Framework to support our vision and values. Every member of staff will be provided with a clear understanding of their behavioural expectations. These behavioural requirements are taken seriously and will form part of regular feedback with your line manager.

Our behaviours will be included in our Person Specifications to enable managers to select candidates for a ‘cultural fit’ as well as a ‘job fit’.
