Job vacancy FAQs

Yes, you can still apply as long as your application reaches us before 5pm on the closing date, unless specified on the individual adverts.

You will need to provide the names of two referees. If you are or have recently been employed one should be from your current or last employer. If you are a student, one should be a senior staff member from your place of study.

References provided by relatives, friends or people with whom you live are not acceptable.

No, we will request your references after you have had your interview. We do ask if you could provide us with email addresses for your references so we can try and get them back as soon as possible so we don’t have to delay your start date.

A member of the interview panel should contact you by telephone to inform you if you have been successful. This will be followed up by a formal letter.

If you need to rearrange the time or date, then you should use the contact details from the letter which was sent to you to attend the interview.

All the applications forms we receive for a post are collected by the recruiting manager. The manager will then shortlist using the person specification to select who to invite for interview.
