Sustainability, Climate Change and Environment Consultation and Engagement - Phase 1 and 2

During the summer (2020), we held Phase 1 of our consultation by issuing a survey and seeking opinion on early ideas for the Council’s Sustainability, Environment and Climate Change Strategy. Surveys were completed by residents, young people, businesses, Parish and Town Councils from across the District. We received a good response which suggests that the issue of climate change is important to people living and working in West Lindsey. Details and analysis of the survey can be found in the Downloads section.

Since that time further work has been completed to develop the Strategy and Phase 2 of our consultation involved seeking feedback and opinions on the draft Strategy. This consultation as also now closed and the feedback can be found in the Downloads section.

Consultation is really important so that a shared vision is created for us to use all of our powers to action, enable and support everyone in working towards achieving carbon neutrality and climate resilience by 2050. This is not an easy undertaking. Hence, to be truly effective we need to create a strategy that we all feel involved with and which will inspire us all to take action.

We are reviewing all the responses received and working to finalise the Strategy in 2021.

Thank you to all that took the time to complete the Phase 1 or Phase 2 surveys.
