District wide PSPO on Dog Fouling

West Lindsey District Council are looking at a proposal to extend a PSPO to require owners of dogs to pick up after their dogs and properly dispose of the waste across all land in the District which the public have access to and when in control of a dog to be able to produce a device or other suitable means of removing dog faeces if directed by an authorised officer.  Breach of a PSPO is an offence, and the person committing the breach may be given a fixed penalty notice of £100, be prosecuted, or may be liable for further action under anti-social behaviour legislation.

This consultation has now closed and the results are being analysed.  They will be reported to committee and after this the final report will be published.

Thank you to everyone who took part.
