During the summer, we held Phase 1 of our consultation by issuing a survey and seeking opinion on early ideas for the Council’s Sustainability, Environment and Climate Change Strategy. Surveys were completed by residents, young people, businesses, Parish and Town Councils from across the District. We received a good response which suggests that the issue of climate change is important to people living and working in West Lindsey. Details and analysis of the survey can be found in the Downloads section.
Thank you to all that took the time to complete the Phase 1 survey.
Since that time further work has been completed to develop the Strategy. We are now in a position to hold Phase 2 of our consultation and want to seek feedback an opinion on the draft Strategy.
Consultation is really important so that a shared vision is created for us to use all of our powers to action, enable and support everyone in working towards achieving carbon neutrality and climate resilience by 2050. This is not an easy undertaking. Hence, to be truly effective we need to create a strategy that we all feel involved with and which will inspire us all to take action.
We will be asking you to review either the draft strategy summary document or the longer form document and then complete the survey and submit your thoughts to us. We will review all responses and work to finalise the Strategy in early 2021.
The Phase 2 survey and Strategy documents are available to view on the Sustainability, Climate Change and Environment Consultation and Engagement page.
