Sustainability, Climate Change and Environment Young People Consultation and Engagement

As the effects of climate change build over time, it is the children and young people of today that will face the worst effects. A recent BBC Newsround surveysuggests that four out of five children say that the problem of climate change is important to them and nearly three in five don’t feel that their voices are being heard on climate change.

We are especially keen for young people across the district to let us know what their thoughts and concerns are and what they think the council could do to reduce its emissions.

We would also like you to enter our competition to design banners or posters related to climate change. The competition runs until 14 August 2020. Full details can be viewed in the Terms and Conditions.

This consultation and competition closes on Friday 14 August 2020.
