Key Dates and Deadlines

Thursday 11 May - Publication of Notice of Poll

Monday 22 May, midnight - Last day for receipt of applications to register to vote

Tuesday 23 May, 5pm - Last day for receipt of new postal vote applications

Tuesday 23 May, 5pm - Last day to change absent vote arrangements

Wednesday 31 May, 5pm - Last day for receipt of new proxy vote applications

Thursday 1 June - Last day to appoint polling and counting agents

Friday 2 June - First day to apply for replacement postal ballot papers (lost, spoilt or not received)

Thursday 8 June, 7am to 10pm - Polling Day

Thursday 8 June, 5pm - Last day for receipt of emergency proxy vote applications

Thursday 8 June, 5pm - Last day to apply for replacement postal ballot papers

Thursday 8 June, 10pm - Verification and Count (candidates and agents only)

VOTING

Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by midnight on Monday 22 May 2017.  Register on-line at GOV.UK/register-to-vote

Postal Votes

New applications to vote by post, amendments to existing postal votes or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Tuesday 23 May, 2017.

Proxy Votes

New applications to vote by proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 31 May 2017.

Emergency proxy applications, due to medical emergency or one relating to a service or work reason which occurs after 5pm on Wednesday 31 May, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Thursday 8 June.
