Lincolnshire County Council Elections - 4 May 2017

All of Lincolnshire County Councils 70 seats are up for  election on Thursday 4 May 2017. For more information and to view the interactive electoral divisions map please visit lincolnshire.gov.uk/new electoral divisions for 2017. To use the map, click on the View larger map icon and then select the division(s) from the list.

Nine of those seats are within the West Lindsey District Council administrative area. The Returning Officer for West Lindsey District Council will, therefore, be responsible for the organisation and administration of the election for those nine seats on behalf of the County Council.

KEY DATES AND DEADLINES

Tuesday 25 April - Publication of Notice of Poll

Thursday 13 April, midnight - Last day for receipt of applications to register to vote

Tuesday 18 April, 5pm - Last day for receipt of new postal vote applications

Tuesday 18 April, 5pm - Last day to change absent vote arrangements

Tuesday 25 April, 5pm - Last day for receipt of new proxy vote applications

Wednesday 26 April - Last day to appoint polling and counting agents

Thursday 27 April - First day to apply for replacement postal ballot papers (lost, spoilt or not received)

Thursday 4 May, 7am to 10pm - Polling Day

Thursday 4 May, 5pm - Last day for receipt of emergency proxy vote applications

Thursday 4 May, 5pm - Last day to apply for replacement postal ballot papers

Thursday 4 May, 10pm - Verification and Count (candidates and agents only)

VOTING

Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by midnight on Thursday 13 April 2017.  Register on-line at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

Postal Votes

New applications to vote by post, amendments to existing postal votes or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Tuesday 18 April, 2017.

Proxy Votes

New applications to vote by proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Tuesday 25 April 2017.

Emergency proxy applications, due to medical emergency or one relating to a service or work reason which occurs after 5pm on Tuesday 25 April, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Thursday 4 May.
