West Lindsey District Council will be running elections for all 20 wards within the district on 2 May 2019.
To be eligible to stand for election you must be: 18 or over; and a British or eligible EU or Commonwealth citizen and meet one of the qualifications below:
- registered to vote in West Lindsey; or
- for the whole 12 months preceding, you must have occupied, as owner or tenant, any land or premises in West Lindsey; or
- for the whole 12 months preceding, worked (as principal employment) in West Lindsey; or
- for the whole of 12 months preceding, lived in West Lindsey

Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by midnight on Friday 12 April 2019. Please Register on-line at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
Postal Votes
New applications to vote by post, amendments to existing postal votes or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Monday 15 April 2019
Proxy Votes
New applications to vote by proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 24 April 2019.
Emergency proxy applications, due to medical emergency or one relating to a service or work reason which occurs after 5pm on Wednesday 24 April, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Thursday 2 May.
