Elections 6 May 2021

Elections for the postponed Police & Crime Commissioner and the scheduled Lincolnshire County Council elections are due to take place on Thursday 6 May 2021. In addition there will be some local by-elections.

These elections will be like no other.  We are putting arrangements in place to help ensure polling stations are safe places to vote. You can expect many of the measures you have become used to over recent months in shops and banks, such as hand sanitiser, social distancing and the requirement to wear face coverings.

Guidance is still being developed, but electors are welcome to use their own pen or pencil in the polling station. We are working with Government, members of the electoral community and Public Health teams to help ensure polling stations are safe places to vote at the May 2021 elections. Electors can of course choose to vote by post or proxy should they wish and we encourage electors to apply for these sooner rather than later where possible.

Electors can find out more information about registering to vote in this elections and how to apply for an absent vote by reading further below.
