An election was to be held of one town councillor for Gainsborough Town Council (Hill Ward) on 7 March 2024.

On 7 March 2024, Nicholas Coxon of the Lincolnshire Independents, Lincolnshire First, was elected.

Neighbourhood Planning Referendum Hemswell Cliff – 19 October 2023

A referendum was to be held on Thursday 19 October 2023 to decide on the question of:

"Do you want West Lindsey District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Hemswell Cliff to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"

On Thursday 19 October 2023 more than half of those those voting voted in favour of the neighbourhood plan.

Neighbourhood Planning Referendum for Keelby – 20 July 2023

A referendum was to be held on Thursday 20 July 2023 to decide on the question of:

"Do you want West Lindsey District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Keelby to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"

On Thursday 20 July 2023 it was declared that more than half of those voting voted in favour of the neighbourhood plan.
