A new development of traditional village style homes in Scothern has been completed and given the seal of approval by West Lindsey District Council.

Chestnut Homes began building work on 30 new homes at its development, The Grange, back in March 2016 and the properties sold out very quickly.

A certificate to officially acknowledge the development’s completion was handed to the Lincolnshire housebuilder by the Building Control team at West Lindsey District Council.

David Newton, Managing Director of Chestnut Homes, said: “It’s been a real privilege to work in Scothern and we’re delighted with the completed development.

“We’re leaving this site safe in the knowledge we have provided high quality properties for residents to enjoy, 14 of which have been handed over as affordable homes.

“Scothern boasts some beautiful traditional architecture so we took great care designing our homes to reflect the village’s character. The Grange fits seamlessly into its surroundings and that has helped make the site very popular.

“As we continue to build new homes across the county, we will look back proudly on our work at The Grange and the new community we have helped create.”

Phillip Westmorland at West Lindsey District Council, said: “Chestnut Homes has provided a welcome addition to Scothern with its attractive and much-needed new homes.

“We were very impressed with what we saw at The Grange, and it’s clear that a lot of hard work and care has gone into designing and building the development.

“It’s always a pleasure to be working with a company that has Lincolnshire at its heart and we looking forward to working with Chestnut Homes again in the future.”
