We will be undertaking two public referendums for both the Dunholme and Scothern Neighbourhood Plans on 19 January 2017.
If there is a 'yes' vote, then the council will formally adopt these plans and use them to help determine future planning applications within these communities.
These Neighbourhood Plans have been created by local people, giving them the ability to shape how their communities develop in the future. This is an important step in devolving planning powers to... local people.
There are currently 33 communities preparing Neighbourhood Plans for their areas and we are encouraging more to begin.
