Kickstart Lea Fields Crematorium

Exciting opportunities to work at West Lindsey District Council’s award winning Crematorium, Arts Centre and Enforcement Team are available.

The council has signed up to the government funded Kickstart scheme for 16-24 year olds and there are some exciting six month placements available.

The Trinity Arts Centre has recently reopened its doors following the national COVID-19 closures and now has a fantastic line up of events ready to show audiences.

If you fancy working with the team in our grade II listed building and learn what it is like to work backstage, front of office and how we market our activities then now is the time to apply.

Alternatively we have placements available at Lea Fields Crematorium, which opened its doors just over a year ago. Or maybe you are interested in working in our recruitment agency, Sure Staff Ltd or perhaps you are interested in environmental and enforcement issues – whatever your interests why not work with our team of experts to see if these are the type of careers you want to pursue.

Cllr Anne Welburn, Deputy Leader of West Lindsey District Council said: “As a district council, I feel we have a responsibility to support our young people where we can to get the experience they need to get jobs.

“We are fortunate that as a council we have a number of exciting opportunities from working in the arts, our recruitment agency Sure Staff Ltd, carrying out enforcement activity across the district, to providing a much-needed service to grieving loved ones. We would love to offer these opportunities to young people within our local community to give them a step on the ladder towards permanent employment.”

The council is also working in partnership with the Lincoln College Group to provide free employment support such as help to update CV’s, complete job applications and preparing for interview.

To be eligible for these opportunities, applicants must be seeking work and registered with the Department for Work and Pensions.

If you are interested please make an appointment with a work coach today as you can not apply for these vacancies directly through the council.
