Local sweet shop Sweet Tradition Gainsborough celebrates its 8th birthday this month!
Based in Marshall’s Yard, the independent traditional sweet shop serves shoppers in Gainsborough and surrounding areas with classic sweets, bespoke hampers and delicious gift boxes.
Owner Nicola Truesdale began as a sales assistant in the store before taking on the business three years later.
Initially selling a variety of traditional penny sweets, including classic favourites and American sweets, the store has diversified over the years offering sugar free and vegan ranges, plus their popular ‘sweetie explosions’, gift hampers and seasonal treats are a hit with customers.
Sweet Tradition has also developed a growing customer base and online presence through their social media platforms, receiving bespoke orders and requests from customers.
To mark their special birthday, Sweet Tradition recently launched a giveaway, inviting customers to win a sweet hamper of their choice.
Nicola Truesdale, owner of Sweet Tradition Gainsborough, said: “We are delighted to celebrate our 8th birthday at Marshall’s Yard.
“It has been brilliant to see the number of regular customers grow and we are always busy with bespoke orders for hampers and during busy periods such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter and Christmas.
“We are proud to be a local independent business in Gainsborough and would like to thank all our customers for their support over the years. We look forward to seeing what the future has in store and have some exciting things coming up.”
Charlotte Toplass, Tenant Liaison Executive, said: “We would like to wish staff at Sweet Tradition Gainsborough a very happy 8th anniversary. During their time on the Yard we have watched the business grow and develop a strong following and we wish them continued success for the future.”
