Today is World Mental Health Day! It's important that we look after our mental health and support each other.
Everyone is affected by poor mental health in many different ways and we should try to make sure we take positive steps in improving it. Having good mental health helps us relax more, achieve more and enjoy our lives more.
There are a range of services available in West Lindsey that are able to support you mental health.

Bearded Fishermen - a charity set up to help with mental health awareness and suicide prevention. They are based in Gainsborough but cover the whole of Lincolnshire. In the current situation, they are able to offer phone support but they also normally offer support via peer to peer, meet and greets, clubs and awareness days. Some face to face contact is available but limited due to current restrictions. Please contact them for for more information.

The Disability Network - a community organisation ran entirely by volunteers and support a range of people across the district via self-help or friendship groups.
Support is available to anyone over the age of 18 with disabilities, autism and mental health issues.

Think2Speak are a social enterprise based in Gainsborough. They work across the whole of Lincolnshire with young people and children. Their aim is to empower and encourage young people and children to have conversations to improve well-being.
They passionately believe in the power of conversation and that so many things can be solved by people feeling able to instigate a conversation.
Just by having the confidence to start a conversation, relationships improve, life decisions are made with confidence and mental health and wellbeing outcomes also improve.
They offer support through workshops, support groups and counselling.

Stepping Stone Theatre is a theatre company based in Gainsborough. They support a range of people and write and perform shows about their personal experiences with mental health. They also run workshops for mental health groups and run a live podcast that discusses mental health challenges openly and honestly.
You can also find out more about looking after your mental health at the Every Mind Matters website. A 24 hour helpline is also available supported by the Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to anyone who needs help, support or just another person to talk to.
