West Lindsey District Council is delighted to be working with Charworth Homes, a family-run development business based in North Lincolnshire.

The council’s Building Control team is now working with Charworth Homes, which is a new member of the LABC partnership scheme. The business also works closely with North East Lincolnshire Council.

The project they are currently working on is four new build dwellings and a conversion of an office which will be constructed at Chapel Street, Caistor and will be a welcome addition to the property mix in Caistor town centre.

In the spirit of keeping things local, the design work for the project was carried out by Grimsby based design studio ID Architecture with the construction work expected to be completed by August.

James Pearson, Director of Charworth Homes, said: “We are delighted to be getting started with this build, and to be working closely with West Lindsey District Council to create great quality homes in Caistor. As a small, family-run business we have a strong local focus whenever we build, and we looking forward to constructing wonderful homes using local suppliers.”

Jodi Wray, Business Manager from Building Control at West Lindsey District Council, is pleased to see Charworth Homes working in the West Lindsey District for the first time.

Jodi said: “It’s been a really positive experience providing building control support to this project. The completed dwellings will be a great addition to the Caistor area.”

The scheme showcases collaborative efforts between two Lincolnshire Building Control teams, with North East Lincolnshire Council providing technical drawing support prior to construction.

Ian Short, Consultant Surveyor from Building Control at North East Lincolnshire said: “Building Control at North East Lincolnshire Council are delighted to have an input into the Chapel Lane development and look forward to being involved in similar schemes in the future.”
