Licence Summary

Any exhibition, demonstration or performance of hypnotism (as defined in the Hypnotism Act 1952) requires the express written consent of the council as licensing authority.

A written application (a letter will suffice), detailing the date, time and location of the proposed performance, must be submitted to the councils Licensing section no less than 28 days before the date on which the display of hypnotism is scheduled to take place.

No fee is required with the application, however evidence that the applicant holds public liability insurance, covering the display of hypnotism, must be supplied with the application.
