We are committed to developing employment opportunities and skills levels across the district. We work with employers and local training providers to ensure the residents of West Lindsey have access to expert careers advice, job search support and assistance to gain the required skills and experience.
Support is available to help employers recruit staff and access to advice for enhancing the qualifications and performance of their workforce through a range of initiatives.
Traineeships provide the essential training, experience and work preparation needed to get an apprenticeship or other job.
Funded by the government and delivered by training providers, employers provide the valuable work experience placement and interview as part of the programme.
Apprenticeships enable young people to earn as they learn by training in a job to gain a nationally recognised qualification. Most apprenticeships are delivered in partnership with a training organisation.
A grant may be available to employers subject to qualifying criteria.
Jobcentre Plus offers an extensive range of free services to help grow your business. This includes services to help you recruit staff, specific advice around workplace pensions and the benefits of Universal Credit for your business and a tailored service to help you find the best people for your jobs.
