text | Hypontism

Any public exhibition, demonstration or performance of hypnotism (as defined in the Hypnotism Act 1952) requires the express written consent of the licensing authority.

To request consent, the hypnotist must provide written notification (by letter or email) at least 28 days before the date on which the display of hypnotism is scheduled to take place. This notification should detail the date, time and location of the proposed performance.

No fee is required, however evidence must be supplied to show that public liability insurance covering the display of hypnotism is held.
