The Department of Energy Security and Net Zero have awarded £300,000 to fund the LEAD project which will deliver services across West Lindsey District Council, City of Lincoln Council, South Kesteven District Council and North Kesteven District Council.
The funding will be used to provide support to residents living buildings that are hard to modify and to increase the uptake of government funding schemes that are available for energy efficiency upgrades. The upgrades range from sustainable heating systems like heat pumps through to external wall insulation, making a home easier to heat.
The Home Energy Advice team based out of West Lindsey District Council have and will continue to be active throughout the community. Visiting residents to give free advice either in person or over the phone they span the 1,179 square miles of the four districts spreading the word at events such as the Riverlight Festival in Sleaford and the Lincolnshire show.
Over the last eight months (as of 16 July 2024) they have provided advice or grant referrals to over 162 residents and hope to do many more as we move towards the end of summer and into the autumn months.
Should you need energy advice or would like to discuss the possibility of grant funding please contact the team on 01427 675199 or email energy.advice@west-lindsey.gov.uk.
Grant funding criteria can be found on our Home Upgrade Grant and ECO4 Scheme pages.
