Lincs 4 Warmer Homes

Local Energy Advice Demonstrators (LEAD)

The Department of Energy Security and Net Zero have awarded £300,000 to fund the LEAD project which will deliver services across West Lindsey District Council, City of Lincoln Council, South Kesteven District Council and North Kesteven District Council.

The funding will be used to provide support to residents living buildings that are hard-to-modify and to increase the uptake of government funding schemes that are available for energy efficiency upgrades. The upgrades range from sustainable heating systems like heat pumps through to external wall insulation, making a home easier to heat.

The team of advisors that will be recruited by West Lindsey District Council will be running drop-in advice sessions in targeted parts of Lincolnshire. The team will also be doing home visits to establish what upgrades are needed and then support the residents to undertake the work. Lincs 4 Warmer Homes will also be working with health professionals to identify people with long-term health issues who will benefit the most from having their homes improved.

This service is aiming to launch at the beginning of winter 2023. Check back on this page for more updates.
