Delivery of nomination papers

Candidates wishing to stand for election must submit nomination papers to the Deputy Returning Officer between 10am to 4pm on any working day from Wednesday 19 March to Wednesday 2 April 2025 at:

Reception to the Guildhall
Marshall's Yard
Gainsborough
DN21 2NA

To make an appointment to submit your formal nomination papers, please either:

  • phone the elections department on 01427 676576 during office hours only
  • email ereg@west-lindsey.gov.uk giving your name, contact details, number of nomination papers to be submitted and for which divisions

Priority will be given to those who have made an appointment. If you do not, you may have to wait to be seen.

Delivery of the nomination paper, home address form and consent to nomination must be by hand and can be by the candidate or their representative. Whilst the other necessary documents may be sent by post it is clearly desirable for all documentation to be delivered with the nomination paper.

Anyone wishing to have an informal check of nomination papers prior to formal submission can email them to ereg@west-lindsey.gov.uk.

Campaigning

As with national elections, you and your campaigners should also have regard to the Electoral Commission's Code of Conduct.

This outlines what is, and what is not, acceptable behaviour at polling stations and in the community during the lead up to polling day.
