You are preparing for your much needed holiday, you have packed your clothes, your passport, your tickets. You know you have applied for a postal vote for the UK General Election on July 4 – so you are ready to relax.
But residents in West Lindsey are being urged to do another pre-flight check before they jet off to make sure they will get their postal vote delivered prior to going away.
- If you applied for a postal vote before 30 May 2024 – your postal vote should arrive between 19 June and 23 June.
- If your applied for a postal vote after the 31 May 2024 – Your postal vote should arrive between 27 June and 30 June.
If you will be on holiday or away from home when your postal vote arrives – you will need to apply for a proxy vote.
To apply for a Proxy Vote, you WILL need to cancel your postal vote by 5pm on the 19 June. Please contact ereg@west-lindsey.gov.uk
