West Lindsey District Council is seeking views from the public on proposals to extend the Hemswell Cliff Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) from 2024 to 2027.

The PSPO prohibits certain activities in the area and seeks to ensure that anyone using the area conduct themselves in the right manner and do not undertake any activities that could cause alarm or distress in the community.

By June 2024, the PSPO will have been in place for six years and the Council believes it has helped tackle some key issues in the area and ensured they have not recurred.

Cllr Jim Snee, Chair of the Council’s Regulatory Committee, said: “It is really important that the public, particularly residents of Hemswell Cliff, provide us with their views on the extension of the PSPO so the Council can consider whether or not it is the appropriate way forward. We look forward to hearing from the public on this matter to help to inform our decision making in the future”.

Anyone wishing to provide views on the proposed extension of the PSPO or find out more about it (including answers to frequently asked questions) can do so by following this link Hemswell PSPO 2024

A final decision on whether to extend the PSPO at Hemswell Cliff will be made by the Council’s Regulatory Committee in March.
