West Lindsey District Council is delighted to announce the return of the Christmas Lights Festival to get you in the festive spirit.
The two-day Christmas spectacle includes a laser light show and a wide range of FREE activities for all the family to enjoy. This includes nostalgic vintage fairground rides and amazing performances from the cast of our pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, which will take place at the Trinity Arts Centre.
The festival will take place in Gainsborough Town Centre on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 November. There will also be a Food, Drink and Gift Market across Market Street and Market Place on both days. Plus a Coconut Shy for families to have a go at winning some small prizes for just £1 per go!
Cllr Lesley Rollings, Deputy Leader of Council and Chairman of Prosperous Communities at West Lindsey District Council, is delighted the Christmas Lights Festival will be returning to West Lindsey.
She said: “We are incredibly excited to be holding such a fantastic event within our District yet again, celebrating the festive season whilst also showcasing the talents of some of our local artists. This certainly is a day for anyone of any age to enjoy”.
The fun-packed weekend starts from 4pm- 8pm on Friday, 17 November and 10am-7pm on Saturday, 18, November and will include the following family friendly activities:
- a vintage carousel
- a vintage high striker
- vintage swing boats
- a giant snow globe to get your christmassy pictures
- laser lights shows on both evenings
- a centre stage featuring local, community and school performances, bands, a comedian, performances from the Panto cast and a DJ
- a balloon Modeller creating festive balloon displays
- LED Skaters
- comedy elves and more

More festive entertainment including a Santas Grotto will be taking place a short two minute walk away in Marshall’s Yard, hosted by Marshall’s Yard.
Car Parking is FREE from 6pm on Friday 17 November and all day Saturday 18 November in Council Owned Car Parks for the event. Please note – parking fees still apply before 6pm on Friday 17 November.
