“This Farmers’ and Craft Market will provide fun and entertainment for all the family in the heart of Gainsborough. Thanks to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund we are able to put on extra activities for local residents that are free. Come and join us for a great day! I’m not sure who is more excited for the dinosaurs and fossils, my son or me! ”

“We are a husband & wife partnership and we've been running our own business for eight years based in Lincolnshire. Our goal when we're visiting town markets is to attract families into the town.
“We have been doing this with great success over the summer in various Lincolnshire market towns. Pete the young T-Rex loves meeting & greeting while he's on his walkabouts, he especially loves a selfie!
“Pete's the equivalent of a 4 year old child at the moment so he does need regular rests. While he's taking a short nap, Laura and myself will carefully bring out a couple of new born baby Dinos for people to Meet & Greet. So come along and Meet Pete, grab a selfie and pet our baby Dinos whilst doing a spot of shopping at the market!”
Gainsborough Library will also be hosting a fossil exhibition running from Monday 9 October 2023 to Saturday 21 October, kindly lent to us by Mablethorpe Library. Here you can find fossils, sea glass, driftwood and pottery found locally on Lincolnshire’s east coast beach!

“We are really excited to host a fossil display in our library, there is so much history on our doorstep! The items have been kindly lent to us by the staff at Mablethorpe Library who hosted this exhibition a few months ago. On Saturday 14th October we will create our own ammonite fossil from clay, so make sure to come to our children’s drop in session!”
We will also be running a fantastic dinosaur trail where you can have the chance to win a prize if you find what the missing letters are trying to spell!
Entertainment will finish by 2pm at the latest. PLEASE NOTE, all events are outdoors and may not take place in bad weather. You can visit our events page or social media for exact times to avoid disappointment.
