West Lindsey District Council Planning Committee will consider the application for listed building consent for the removal of Guy Gibson’s dog’s grave from RAF Scampton.
The extraordinary planning committee meeting will be held at the Epic Centre at the Lincolnshire Showground on Wednesday, 5 July 2023.
An application was received by West Lindsey District Council on 9 May to seek listed building consent for the removal of Guy Gibson’s dog’s grave. The application was made by the RAF, as a result of concerns regarding the safety of the grave in light of the Home Office plans to house asylum seekers on the site.
The application for listed building consent will be determined in an extraordinary meeting of the Council’s Planning Committee. This is now scheduled to take place on Wednesday 5 July, at 6.30pm at the Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground.
By utilising a larger venue, closer to the site itself, it will ensure anyone with an interest in this application has an opportunity to attend the public meeting. The meeting will be recorded, and the webcasting posted on the Council’s website after the meeting.
For anyone wishing to speak at the meeting, the scheme of public participation has today been published and can be found at the link below. The registration deadline for speakers is 5pm on Monday 3 July. Visit our Public participation and questions at committee meetings page.
Full papers for the meeting will also be published on the website one week ahead of the meeting and can be accessed on our Committee webpages.
