West Lindsey District Council has launched a new outward-facing website, which residents and visitors will already be able to access.

The website, which was officially launched on 1 April 2022, replicates the old website but includes noticeable new additions, including changes to the Homepage, structure and the menu in particular, helping residents find what they are looking for quicker.

The new design, created in partnership with Design and Development company Big Blue Door Ltd, will future proof the site to ensure the advancement of new technology can be easier to develop.

Leader of the Council, Cllr Owen Bierley, said:

"As a Council, one of our major roles is to be as accessible as possible to our residents – and making our digital tools as easy and engaging as possible is a major tool in contributing to this goal.

"Residents can be assured that all features from the old website are still available – as a responsible organisation, we are always looking for that next step that will help us become in-line with modern technologies and features, as a result therefore becoming as accessible as possible to residents digitally and in-person."

The move to a new website began last Autumn, with the project intensifying over the past month.

Corporate Systems Development Manager at West Lindsey District Council, Jeannette Anderson, said:

“The new website will hopefully introduce residents to a visually better, easier-to-use website, that will allow them to find our resources in quicker time. As a result of this move, residents can expect future enhancements and improvements on the site as a consequence. The whole site has had a complete information overhaul and has been brought up to date to ensure relevant and accurate information is available to our customers.

“I would like to express my thanks to the very small team who worked on this – and our partners Big Blue Door Ltd – who have been wonderful to work with throughout this entire project.”
