Think Local when Christmas shopping this year!

West Lindsey District Council are encouraging all residents to think local when they start their Christmas shopping this year.

To encourage local Christmas shopping, the Council are encouraging businesses across West Lindsey to get creative and share their Black Friday deals to promote what deals they have to offer.

Taking place on Friday 26 November, Black Friday is one of the biggest seasonal sales of the year with consumers hitting the shops and online to find the best deals.

What can businesses offer as a Black Friday deal?

Can you create a special discount? Offer a giveaway? Or maybe you could team up with another local business to create a Christmas package? Whatever your special offer, it is one of the best ways to showcase your products and services.

Businesses are invited to email their Black Friday deals to think.local@west-lindsey.gov.uk to be part of the Council’s Think Local social media campaign.

The social media campaign will promote local Black Friday deals throughout November and December.

Deputy Leader of West Lindsey District Council, Cllr Anne Welburn, said:

“As we prepare for the festive season, we are keen to support businesses to get the best out of the weeks ahead, as well as encouraging shoppers to discover the wealth of wonderful businesses West Lindsey has to offer.

“We have also been fortunate enough to work with Clare Bailey, a Lincolnshire-based independent business advisor, to help businesses to navigate their way through the current situation and to help ensure businesses are recovery-ready. Last Christmas was a particularly difficult time for local businesses and we are ready to help as much as we can.

“If you are a business in West Lindsey in need of any advice or support, I urge you to get in touch.”

Clare has also provided several online workshops which are available to watch online. Go to our Advice and Support for Retail, Hospitality and Leisure page and scroll down for Business Support Webinars.

If you would like to book a 1-2-1 to cover any of your specific questions or concerns regarding reopening, or adapting your business to a post-covid world, then please contact Clare Bailey via clare.bailey@retailchampion.co.uk
