We provide a bulky waste collection service for household items such as washing machines or mattresses from domestic properties. If you need a collection from student accommodation, then this is classed as commercial waste and you will need to email cws@west-lindsey.gov.uk.
An appointment date will be given to you at the time of your request. Your items will be collected within 48 hours of the date allocated. Items need to be outside and accessible by 7am on the day of the collection.
Items must be presented as close to the boundary as possible where it is easy for the crew to gain access for their removal. Only items booked will be taken.
You have the right to cancel your request within 14 days of placing your order, with a minimum notice of 24 hours before the collection date. A refund will only be given if we are notified more than one working day before the scheduled collection.
Before asking us to collect your old items which will be sent for energy recovery, it may be suitable to donate the item to a charity. More details can be found on our furniture reuse page.
Alternatively, you could ask the supplier if they provide a service to remove and dispose of the old item. If they don’t, another option would be to take them to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre.
There is a minimum charge for this service for items worth up to 6 points, for items of more than 6 points there will be an extra cost. Please see fees and charges page for current charge.
