West Lindsey Local Development Framework (LDF)

LDF Latest: The City of Lincoln Council, Lincolnshire County Council, North Kesteven District Council and West Lindsey District Council have formed a Central Lincolnshire Joint Strategic Planning Committee with effect from 12th October 2009.  This Committee will lead the production of the LDF for Central Lincolnshire including the production of a Core Strategy for the area.

The first step in this process will be the approval of a Central Lincolnshire Local Development Scheme in January 2010 and a Joint Planning Unit is currently being formed in order to take forward LDF work.

There will therefore be no further work on the production of a West Lindsey Core Strategy and work on the Gainsborough Area Action Plan has been suspended pending decisions on the scope and timetabling of the LDS and the related role of the Joint Planning Unit. These matters are expected to be concluded early in 2010.
