Market Rasen

Market Rasen is a small traditional but bustling market town standing on the River Rase on the western edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Although famous for having the only racecourse in Lincolnshire, there's more to Market Rasen than meets the eye. Most activity invariably centres on the lively friendly and well-stocked market place. Specialist markets take place at various times throughout the year. These include the successful Gardeners Fair and Food Fair.  There are also all kinds of shops in the town for visitors to explore.

Market Rasen is one of the gateways to the Lincolnshire Wolds where quiet roads, well-marked public footpaths, picnic areas and beautiful countryside mean the simple pleasures of walking, cycling, picnicking and sightseeing are easy to enjoy.

Extra facilities include a nine-hole pay and play golf course, open to everyone.
