The Council has approved its Corporate Plan for the next four years, which sets out our ambitions for the district until 2015. At the heart of this plan we want to build on our commitment to work more closely with our diverse and varied communities.
Our Localism Programme aims are:
- to target our resources more effectively and
- to support local communities to help themselves.
There are already fabulous examples throughout the district of local people delivering amazing projects and activities in their area and our role is to understand how we can help people to help themselves and others.
We have split the district into six loosely defined areas in order to work more closely with each community.
