Council Services:

Schools Waste

West Lindsey District Council will collect refuse from schools upon request, this is a chargeable service using blue refuse sacks.

We also offer a free recycling service – see below for more details.

However, if schools arrange for their own recycling collections with a private waste contractor, they may be eligible to apply for Recycling Credits from Lincolnshire County Council.  The amount paid is currently (as at 2011) just over £38 per tonne – see separate web link for more information.

Cash can be raised for your school by recycling old clothing.  Companies such as Bag 2 School and Ragtex will pay for your textiles and you can claim Recycling Credits as well
